THE COMPANY
Atakama Games is a company aimed at the creation and design, as well as the prototyping and brokering services of online and board games based mainly in strategy and logic.
We provide the games industry with amusing, innovative and challenging games while offering inventors our experience and support to analyze, quantify and reach target markets.
Our main and ready-to-take-off product, CrossAx®, is now being evaluated by major manufacturers. There are several others in prototyping phase.
Our Company, sponsored by Octantis, has been chosen as a new startup by INNOVA CHILE CORFO, a governmental institution assisting and funding promising new enterprises.

Eduardo Gonzalez Eduardo Gonzalez: Founder of Atakama-Games, Professor of Physics and Technology in Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, Santiago Chile, got his grade as Electronic Engineer at Universidad de Chile and his PhD at University College London, UK. He has lived in Santiago, London and Buenos Aires working for different companies in a wide range of duties. He likes maths, physics, short-playing, jokes, groovie music, 10 km races and exotic food free of butter, mayonaise, and alikes.
Marcelo Villena Marcelo Villena, CEO of Atakama-Games: Ph.D., M.Phil . in Economics,Selwyn College, University of Cambridge, U.K., Master of Arts (M.A.), Leeds University Business School, University of Leeds, U.K ., isProfessor and Head of the Engineering School at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. His main areas of interest are Managerial Economics, Econometrics and Operations Research. He has served also as International Consultant to many Firms, Governments and InternationalOrganizations but in his scarce free time, plays soccer and hardly misses watching his favourite soccer team Colo-Colo.
Ricardo Salas Ricardo Salas is an industrial engineer that holds a Ms and PhD (c) from The University of Rochester. He has been Director of Software Development of Claris Corp. (Apple) and VP of R&D of L&H. He played a key role in the success of Articulate Systems and was the founder of Unveil Technologies, two boston buinesses that built leading productsusing computational linguistics.

NEWS
2006: Following a successful deal with Octantis (Business Incubator), INNOVA CHILE CORFO decided to sponsor and fund our company.
2007: Kick-Off with 4 Atakama-Games.
Since our company started operations, the Board of Directors pleaded full committment to strengthen strategic alliances, both to partcipate in game fairs around the world, and to develop new products. We are scheduled to be at the 2007 New York Toy Fair. Others will be announced soon.
